Jeff Thierbach

in Science and Safety Education
Jeff brings over 35 years of experience in the green
industry. He began his career with a national tree care company before founding
Victorian Gardens Tree Care in 1995. His extensive background spans plant
health care (PHC), arboricultural climbing, consulting, utility work, and
safety management.
Throughout his career, Jeff has pursued ongoing professional
development through college coursework, numerous industry credentials, and
attendance at conferences across the United States. He has served as an
instructor for organizations including TCIA, ACRT, ISA Michigan, and Victorian
Gardens, where he has taught a wide range of topics within the green industry.
Jeff has also demonstrated leadership within the industry,
serving multiple times as Chair of the Michigan Tree Climbing Competition. A
proud U.S. Navy veteran and former search and rescue diver, he is deeply
committed to giving back to the veteran community. He has served as a site
leader for Saluting Branches for the past 10 years.
In recent years, Jeff has held roles as a Safety Director,
contributed to storm response efforts with OSR, and worked as an instructor,
supporting industry education through webinars.
